Babies are such a nice way to start people. ~Don Herrold
My friend who is an artist in her own right, made an adorable shadow box for a gift for a baby girl. She asked me to make her a card. I was honored. I made 2 cards for her to choose from. This is one of them.
At the expo, I spent a bit of time at Epiphany Crafts booth. They have Shape Studio Tools which look like a punch. You place the paper/picture under the punch, open the top & pop the Epoxy shape sticky side down, then push down. The tool attaches the paper to the bottom of the embellishment & cuts the paper around the bottom of the Epoxy. This particular tool is a hexagon and I used it for the embellishments on this card.
The images are a bit fuzzy as a result of the rounded tops, they are clearer to the naked eye than thru the camera lens.
They have many different shapes from squares & circles to hearts & pennants and everything in between.
I shouldn’t say this, but if you are good with scissors many of the shapes can be used without the tool since the Epoxy has a sticky bottom & straight edges. The flowers, hearts & butterflies would be a bit more of a challenge to do without the tool.
The second baby girl card I made was also made for The Paper Craft Crew Challenge this week. The sketch is to the right & my design is to the left. I am not sure which one she will choose. I have had so much fun with this project I may even make another baby girl card for her to choose from.
One last Card, This card is almost entirely digital. For the most part I prefer to stamp my images myself, but digi is the way to go if you want a certain paper or image not in your supply cabinet. Both the background paper & the image are digi, the coloring was me!
Thanks for stopping by,
